Elk Winter Range Enhancement Project Funding
/The Habitat Conservation Trust is proud to announce over $8 million in funding for 167 fish and wildlife conservation projects across B.C. this year, with over $1.2M allocated to projects in the Kootenay region.
One of those projects includes our elk winter range enhancement project in the Kicking Horse Canyon, which is co-funded by the Forest Enhancement Society of BC. Our goal is to improve the habitat for ungulate species such as Rocky Mountain Elk, Mule Deer and White-tailed Deer.
